Driveways
Full replacement, section replacement and aprons. Poured at driveway thickness over a compacted stone base so vehicle loads don't crack it in year two.
Concrete contractor · Metro Detroit
Driveways, porches, steps, patios and walkways — poured, replaced and lifted by SAS Services out of Warren. Built on a compacted base, jointed correctly, and pitched away from your foundation, because water is what takes concrete apart here.

Flatwork & structures
Residential and municipal, tear-out through final broom finish. One crew, one company, one number to call if anything needs attention later.
Full replacement, section replacement and aprons. Poured at driveway thickness over a compacted stone base so vehicle loads don't crack it in year two.
Settled porches, broken risers, pulled-away landings. Rebuilt tight to the house with consistent riser heights so the front entry is safe again.
New patio slabs and replacements, graded away from the foundation. Broom, exposed aggregate or stamped and colored decorative finishes.
Public walk sections, service walks and side entries — including trip-hazard removal that gets you clear of a city violation notice.
Garage floor replacement, generator pads, AC pads and shed slabs, reinforced and jointed for the load they'll actually carry.
If the concrete is sound but sitting low, we raise it back to grade instead of replacing it — a fraction of the cost and done in a day.

Why concrete fails here
Southeast Michigan crosses the freezing mark dozens of times between November and April. Every crossing runs your slab through the same six steps.
Through a hairline crack, an open joint, or a porous, unsealed surface.
Water expands roughly 9% turning to ice, and it pushes outward with real force.
Each cycle pries the opening a little further apart. It never closes back up.
The path is bigger now, so the next rain fills it faster and deeper.
Water running under the slab carries off the sand and stone holding it up.
Now it pitches toward your foundation — and the water problem moves into the basement.
This is why a concrete crew that also waterproofs basements builds a different slab. Grade, base, joints and pitch aren't finishing details to us — they're the whole point. We keep the water out.
How we build it
Anyone can make wet concrete look good on day one. Here's what's underneath a slab that's still flat in fifteen years.
Graded and mechanically compacted before a single yard is poured. Loose fill is the number one reason new concrete settles.
Slab thickness matched to the load — walkways, patios and vehicle-rated driveways are not the same pour.
Wire mesh or fiber, so when the slab does move, it stays together instead of separating.
Concrete cracks. Properly spaced joints decide where — in a straight line you'll never notice.
About ¼" of fall per foot, so runoff heads for the yard instead of your foundation wall.
Air-entrained concrete specified for freeze-thaw exposure, with proper cure time before you use it.
If your slab is structurally sound and simply sitting too low, lifting it back to grade costs a fraction of a tear-out and pour — and you can walk on it the same day. We'll tell you honestly which one your concrete needs.
